About Ethiopian Community Center in Maryland
Our Story
The Ethiopian Community Center in Maryland was founded on a simple but powerful belief: that every Ethiopian immigrant deserves access to the services, information, and support they need to succeed in America without losing their cultural identity.
What began as a grassroots effort to connect newly arrived Ethiopians with essential resources has grown into a comprehensive nonprofit organization offering programs in social services, workforce development, education, health, and cultural preservation.
Today, ECCM serves as the central hub for the Ethiopian community in Maryland — a trusted institution that bridges cultural and language barriers and connects community members with life-changing opportunities.
